I am the PR person in charge of unagi (eel) Okafuji.
Starting today, we are starting a blog to provide information about our restaurant.
In this first installment, we would like to introduce our restaurant.
We are a restaurant specializing in Hitsumabushi and eel dishes, located a 3-minute walk from Fushimi Station on the Nagoya Municipal Subway Higashiyama Line.
Six chefs trained for several years at the famous eel restaurant "Unafuji" in Nagoya, and then separated from the restaurant.
We are particular about everything from the selection of eels to the way they are handled, skewered, and char-grilled to provide the best eel dishes.
We offer a wide variety of menu items, including Nagoya's specialty, the exquisite Hitsumabushi and Unaju.
In addition, we offer many of the best beverages, such as sake and shochu, to go with our hitsu-mabushi and eel dishes.
In addition to dining for two, our restaurant also has a small room that can be used as a private room for banquets for up to 26 people. We also have a special room with a kotatsu (sunken kotatsu) that is spacious and quiet (VIP private room seating).
The small room can accommodate a large number of people for a banquet, and the special room with sunken kotatsu is ideal for business entertainment or a meeting with friends.
The interior design of the restaurant is worthy of its special setting in Nagoya's Gyoenza Tower, an arts center, and of the restaurant that succeeded a famous, long-established eel specialty restaurant.
