I am the PR person in charge of unagi (eel) Okafuji.

With each rainfall, the weather becomes warmer and we can feel the arrival of spring.
How is everyone doing?

Now, I would like to introduce "Hitsumabushi," a Nagoya specialty that has been loved for many years.

At our restaurant, we serve "green eel" which is thick, tender and fatty even to the tail,
The sauce, which has been passed down from the long-established "Unafuji" restaurant that draws a long line of customers, is used to grill the fish in the Kansai style, giving it a savory flavor.

The hitsu-mabushi introduced here is a hitsu-mabushi in which you can enjoy such particular eel in various ways.

The hitto is filled with eel and is very satisfying!
It is also a recommended item for special occasions when you want to be more extravagant than usual.

Enjoy the crispy outside and fluffy inside of the eel to your heart's content.

Hitsumabushi is of course delicious eaten as is, but it can be made even more delicious by eating it in a different way.
Please take a look at our recommendations on how to eat it.

1: First, divide the hitsujimabushi into four equal portions.
2: The first cup should be served straight from the bowl.
3: For the second cup, top with condiments and enjoy the change in taste.
4: The third cup is a bowl of ochazuke (rice with tea) and a bowl of salted rice.
5: The last one is served in the best way for you.
